The Evolution of Harvest Management Continues...

In association with industry partners across Western Canada, Bayer is redefining the traditional crop tour experience for growers. The CUTTING EDGE EXPO not only showcases NEW product innovations from Bayer, but also provides their customers with an opportunity to learn from a wide range of agricultural experts from different parts of the agricultural industry.

Bayer’s Pod Shatter reduction trait is redefining the way growers approach harvest management. Greater than 70% of InVigor L140P was straight cut in 2015 and with the launch of a new InVigor Pod Shatter reduction canola hybrid in 2017, the harvest evolution continues.

With this Evolution Bayer is hosting CUTTING EDGE EXPO’s to not only showcase NEW InVigor canola innovations, but also provide growers with an opportunity to learn from a wide range of agricultural experts including combine & header experts.

With the success of the 2015 CUTTING EDGE EXPOs we are now scheduling more events across Western Canada for 2016. “The main focus of the Cutting Edge Expo’s is on the future of canola harvest management with the new Pod Shatter Reduction technology of InVigor®,” says James Humphris, Manager Oilseeds Traits for Bayer. “We are partnering with different harvest management experts including manufacturer and machinery experts to talk about the reality of straight cutting this hybrid without sacrificing any yield.”

The events are designed to provide growers with practical advice for setting up for success when straight cutting – from seeding through to harvest.

“The reality is that growers look for us to for innovative solutions that make their operations more successful and that goes well beyond new seed innovations and crop protection products. Our goal is to teach growers how to use these new tools effectively, educate them about other technology advancements and provide sound agronomic advice. The success of the CUTTING EDGE EXPO in your area will be measured by the confidence level of growers when they return to their farms,” said Humphris.
