You want the best weed control to maximize your yield potential. There’s no better way than with DEKALB® TruFlex™ canola with Roundup Ready® Technology. It offers improved control of even some of the toughest, hard-to-control weeds. In fact, TruFlex canola controls more weeds than all other canola herbicide trait systems. Growers also benefit from increased flexibility by allowing spraying up to 14 days later into the season. Get to know our high quality, high performing canola seed, DEKALB TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready Technology.
Many key weeds found in Western Canada are becoming a larger issue with each passing year. DEKALB TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready Technology delivers exceptional control of a wide spectrum of both annual and tough-to-manage perennial weeds.
DEKALB hybrids have advanced genetic technology built in to deliver better weed control and crop safety all season long. This includes excellent disease protection with multi genic blackleg resistance and clubroot resistant hybrids. The result can be a higher yield potential at harvest time and better yields year after year.
DEKALB straight cut hybrids are selected for their excellent harvestability which can speed up harvest and reduce losses and risk. DEKALB SC and SC+ hybrids are bred specifically for enhanced pod integrity and also feature early maturity and quick dry down which supports an earlier, faster, and smoother harvest.
TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready technology offers greater flexibility in spray rates and timing for superior weed control to maximize yield potential.
Every farm is different. TruFlex canola gives growers the ability to apply Roundup WeatherMAX® herbicide in-crop at 0.67 L/ac. for two applications or 1.33 L/ac. for a single application, so growers can choose the right rate for the unique weed challenges on their farm. The application window also extends past the six-leaf stage all the way to first flower, giving growers 10-14 more spray days than Roundup Ready® canola. This allows growers to achieve cleaner fields and a higher yield potential for their farm’s unique environment.
The TruFlex canola trait is our most advanced, delivering better weed control and higher yield potential than our current technology. Growers also have the flexibility to apply Roundup WeatherMAX herbicide right up to first flower*.
*First flower is when 50% of the plants in the field have no more than one flower
The TruFlex canola system can control up to 51 weed species, 24 more weeds than the Roundup Ready canola system.

TruFlex™ canola with Roundup Ready® and LibertyLink® Technologies
The new genetics of TruFlex canola can give growers a very high yield potential. That’s because advanced trait technology delivers better weed control and crop safety when compared with the Roundup Ready trait system. The application window extends all the way to first flower resulting in as many as 14 more spray days without suffering a yield penalty.
Field trials were conducted to test potential crop injury from spraying off-label on Roundup Ready canola. The research confirmed that spraying canola above the recommended rates or outside the application window was costing farmers three bushels per acre or more in yield*.
