Bayer Premieres The Front Row: Virtual Crop Tour Experience

The digital platform offers an all-access pass to the latest field research and trial results to help growers get the most out of their farms

Calgary, AB (September 15, 2020) – Today, the Crop Science Division of Bayer announced the launch of The Front Row: Virtual Crop Tour, a digital platform providing growers with a front row seat to trial results and insights as well as new product innovations. The virtual experience includes a library of videos delivered by experts in the field as well as virtual crop tours to learn about seed and crop protection product offerings across Canada.

The Front Row: Virtual Crop Tour is part of Bayer’s ongoing commitment to protecting the health and safety of its customers, consumers, employees and stakeholders during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The Front Row: Virtual Crop Tour complements Bayer’s enhanced safety and social distancing measures to protect its communities while delivering innovation to growers’ fingertips.

“We’re excited to deliver our crop tour experience to growers across Canada,” said Lauren Davis, Marketing Communications Manager, Bayer Crop Science. “Our annual crop tours are an important way for our customers to gain an up-close look at the latest research and innovations to be able to make informed decisions for next season. This year the physical crop tour wasn’t possible which required us to innovate and create a convienient option for our customers. Now, growers can access to the information on their own terms and from the comfort and safety of their own homes.”

Growers can now access the virtual crop tours through the video library and download the tour guide booklets by visiting FrontRowTours.ca. Additional videos will be added to the library in the weeks ahead, so growers are encouraged to check back often. Trial results featured in the videos were collected from research sites across Eastern and Western Canada, and include:

  • New DEKALB® canola and corn hybrids, and soybean varieties, tested and vetted for quality performance
  • The latest innovation in canola flea beetle insecticide seed treatments with BUTEOTM start
  • Trial data from new crop protection products including Proline® GOLD canola fungicide and Laudis® corn herbicide
  • Up-to-date insights for optimizing corn acres through data driven seed scripting with Climate FieldViewTM
  • And much more…

As always, growers can also contact their local Bayer representative for more information on trial sites and results.
