Calgary, AB (September 1, 2020) – Today the Crop Science Division of Bayer announced the launch of Proline® GOLD, a premium new fungicide for canola that provides superior protection against high sclerotinia pressure. Proline GOLD brings together two highly effective active ingredients with the trusted performance of prothioconazole and the addition of a new active to the canola market, fluopyram, that in combination provide growers a new level of protection against severe infections of sclerotinia.
"As one of canola's most dangerous diseases, sclerotinia can severely impact a grower's yield if not properly managed," says Jamie Mills, Grower & Channel Marketing Manager, Canola, Bayer Crop Science. "Proline GOLD offers growers the best protection in situations where sclerotinia is at its worst."
Delivering strong value through improved efficacy and performance, Proline GOLD is an easy-to-use liquid formulation for growers looking for a multi-mode of action fungicide that offers systemic and contact protection. Its two modes of action work together to provide immediate and extended results, so growers can achieve exceptional yields.
"The addition of Proline GOLD expands Bayer's canola fungicide lineup and gives growers a new, powerful tool in the fight against one of canola's most harmful diseases," says Mills. "Growers can now choose from two premium sclerotinia fungicides depending on the risk and level of protection required for each individual field."
With science backed by Bayer researchers, recent local trials demonstrated that Proline GOLD's two active ingredients provided exceptional control of sclerotinia under the heaviest disease pressures.
