Ammonium Sulphate Other Bayer CropScience

Ammonium Sulphate

Bayer is supplying its own proprietary liquid spray grade Ammonium Sulphate (AMS) to the western Canadian crop protection market. This product is being sold as a utility modifier for use with Infinity and Tundra herbicides.

Ammonium Sulphate utility modifier has a concentration of 400 g/L (40% solution). It should be added to Infinity or Tundra for control of cleavers greater than three whorls in size. The Infinity and Tundra labels state “For control of cleavers at the four to six whorl stage, add ammonium sulphate at 500 g/ha”. Thus, the application rate of Ammonium Sulphate utility modifier for use with Infinity or Tundra
herbicides is 1.25 L/ha (500 g/ha ÷ 400 g/L) or 0.5 L/ac.

Application Tips

Directions for Use:

  • Always add Ammonium Sulphate to the spray tank first before adding other pesticides.
  • For Infinity, add one 10 L jug of Ammonium Sulphate to every 6.7 L jug of Infinity.
  • For Tundra, add one 10 L jug of Ammonium Sulphate to every two 8.1 L jugs of Tundra.

  • Bayer warrants that this product conforms to the chemical description on the label. Always follow label use directions when using this product.
  • Only products that are spray grade Ammonium Sulphate and used at Ammonium Sulphate rates as indicated on the Infinity and Tundra labels will be supported by Bayer.
Water conditioning agents that contain ingredients other than Ammonium Sulphate (additional salt blends, phosphate ester, propionic acid, phosphoric acid, etc.) will not be
supported for use with Infinity and Tundra by Bayer.
