Key Product Points

  • For control of weeds in sugar beets and red garden or table beets
  • Also great for newly-planted june-bearing strawberry varieties.

Application Tips

  • For best results, spray when weeds are between cotyledon and two true-leaf stage
  • Best results are achieved when weeds are actively growing and not under water or heat stress
  • May be applied as a single application, in repeat applications or as a split application
  • As a full-rate single application, spray Betamix B when weeds have emerged cotyledons up to the four true-leaf stage – apply only when sugar beets have produced two true leaves
  • To control late germinating weeds, repeat a second Betamix B application when required, waiting at least seven days after first treatment
  • Split applications – reduced rate applications of Betamix B may be applied to sugar beets any time after the crop has produced  cotyledons to catch early germinating, difficult-to-control weeds. Second application should be made five to seven days after first application or when a late flush of weeds germinate. If second application is delayed by more than seven days, full rate treatment is recommended
  • Band applications are also effective. Refer to Rates section for bandin recommendations
